CONNECT is a new program designed by Volunteer South West
CONNECT is a program that helps break down barriers to volunteering for a range of people who have a lack of confidence to approach volunteering by themselves. This program promotes connection and social inclusion through volunteering and encourages participation in our community, within the not for profit sector.
The aim is to build an inclusive, welcoming workplace culture within your Volunteer Involving Organisation that makes it possible for you to recruit a diverse volunteering workforce; and to educate and engage individuals in volunteering and reduce any anxiety or fear.
CONNECT sees us bringing a group of up to 5 individuals to your organisation and support them through 2 – 3 weeks of ‘practicing’ tasks that you will allocate.
In addition we will provide you with information, training and resources on inclusive practices when managing volunteers, support and guidance to assist you in providing a volunteering opportunity which is mutually beneficial and rewarding to the participants.
We would love to have you on board!
