Who are we?
Volunteer South West (VSW) has been operating successfully in the Greater South West Region since 1996, and provides a volunteer referral service for volunteer involving, not for profit, organisations in our region. Our aim is to match individuals wanting to volunteer with meaningful positions at our member agencies.
Registration, which is free, is required of the individual, and includes an informal interview with our friendly staff, who themselves are also volunteers. During the interview process they will assist you to identify the best options for your volunteering experience.
Available volunteer positions are diverse and each person will find something to suit your needs, skills and time available. Pop in to see our volunteer staff between 9.30 am and 2:30 pm weekdays (except Wednesdays) – no appointments necessary. We look forward to assisting you to find the right position that reflects your passions, skills and expectations.
Volunteering builds self-confidence, social connectedness, the opportunity to use your skills or develop new ones and can often be a stepping stone to employment.
Volunteer positions can be found in all sectors including: Aged Care, Family Support, IT, Health, Education, Conservation, Community Services, Youth Work, Retail, Administration, Sport and Recreation and Events to name a few.
